First Amnesia Video.

Hey everyone, I'm Charleyzard, a youtuber that has watched gaming commentaries for years, but has only recently decided to buck up the courage to attempt some myself!
Would anyone be able to check out my first Amnesia: The Dark Descent video?

It was really fun to play, and make, but I know that it can be better!

I'm looking for healthy criticism so that I can improve my videos, and my confidence, in the future.

Right now, my set up is:
Logik Headset with microphone
FRAPS or Camtasia Studio
Sony Vegas 12
Samsung Galaxy S3 (Facecam)

Really good video quality, I enjoyed that. Never get tired of seeing people play Amnesia

One thing though, your game audio was a tad loud, was a bit difficult to hear you at some points. But not too bad. Just something to watch out for in future videos

Thanks, it means a great deal that someone alot bigger than me in youtube terms gave me this chance and thinks it's good.

I guess cause I could hear it (being my own voice) then others could too, I'll turn the game volume down abit next time

Try experimenting between lowering your game audio and boosting the gain of your commentary track during editing. Playing around with that normally gets me the best results

That game is so scary, I am still trying to get courage to play it til the end. Outlast got the best of me. Keep it up!

Taking on board what you said I have made and just uploaded a part 2.
I think you can definitely hear me better in this one, but it could still always be improved. But that's why people do hundreds of videos eh?

Just watched, sorry it took me a while to reply

Definitely better audio balance here, your voice comes in much clearer. Although your video resolution is a bit off. You've uploaded to 1440p but seem to have recorded in much less. You might want to either record in higher resolution or output in smaller resolution, since uploading in higher when recording in lower will really just blur/mess up the final result and will take more time/memory.

As much as I hate do say it, "God another damn Amnesia playthrough"

I dont mean to come across in a negative way, without a doubt keep commentating but another Amnesia one? Really? Pretty sure everyone has played it or watched someone play it by this stage

Its sort of like the Minecraft burst, at first it was like lol and now its like "God dammit another one?"

Usually if I see like a commonly played game like AMnesia or Minecraft or something on someones channel I tend to not even bother but thats just me. Thats why I watch a lot from Pewds, played games I never played or even heard of before and the suprise of the unexpected is great, but with Minecraft nothing suprises you same with Amnesia just....blank

Sorry had a little rant

Keep doing commentary without a doubt dont let this fade you the slightest, keep your channel growing but just a little word of advice, please be original :D

I agree that the game audio is a bit louder than it needs to be. I've ran into the same problem as well at times with Amnesia. I just set the audio down in the game fairly low and it fixed it. Good video beyond that though. Keep it up man!

((Edit)) I just saw your other video..audio levels are good..keep it up

I was sticking to familiar territory with the Amnesia videos, I'm trying to get round to doing many different series on different games. Amnesia was just... comfortable? I think that's the best word for it, for getting the recording and editing process down. Thank you though
