Just one question, is the LP you're doing something scary where you're going to make the most of your expressions? If not i'd say don't do it. They sort of take away from the game unless the viewer is expecting something. I learned that the hard way lol.


As far as webcam software I can't really help you. When I did use my webcam, I used my Macbook Pro's built in cam and used Screenflow(where I edit/record/) my videos to implement it.


However, I did a bit of research for you and I would recommend CamStudio. Apparently it's free and such so give that a go.

I am gonna give this a shot as well. Just recently found out Fraps and Windows LiveCam software don't want to work together. I was testing my video set up and it just completely shut off whenever I entered a game. So hopefully this works.

For the webcam I use the logitech softwear that came with my webcam, then lay it over the video in Camtasia

Kinda makes me wish I would have gave Logitech my money instead of silly Microsoft. The cam itself is only like.. 5 megapixel, but until I find a new job, I can't fork 80 bucks out for a nice 8mp Logitech.

I use CyberLink YouCam 5, because it has the best quality I know for my webcam.

Fraps or dxtory for gameplay.
Windows movie maker for camera.

Then you use an editing software to put them together

Windows Movie Maker compresses footage so the quality is bad. I do not recommend it as a software for the webcam.
