Editing Videos Proffessionaly

I just want to ask... How do you edit your videos proffessionaly???
At the moment I have Camtasia Studio 8 for editing and its awesome. But when I have finished editing the video, I watch it again. When I watch it again, the webcam is faster than the video, and the system sounds I just end up deleting. When I use common knowledge to put the webcam recording a bit behind the video (even though when I recorded they were the same...) and then the wecam is for example from 1 minute to 1 minute after the video ends, whereas the video is from 0 to 10 minutes. If you know how to fix this, please reply!

You have recorded them in different frame rates most likely. Have you tried exporting/rendering the video with the frame rate of the webcam footage? If its the audio that is getting off sync then you have different sample rate on the audio tracks.

I've recently started using Adobe Premiere Elements 11 and so far it's going great, I tried Premiere Pro but it was a little too advanced for my liking

I am using Adobe Premiere pro cs6 And i am 11 years old. Does not seem advanced for me. But i hate sony vegas !

I record/edit everything in Screenflow. Sadly, it's only a Mac program.

Splitting the audio & video and moving the audio to match where the video syncs would be the way to fix the problem, but you can't do it in Camtasia unless you're working with a .camrec file (the file it makes when you're screen capturing). In other programs you'd be able to split the audio and video of any file and do this.

Thats what I have been doing. I have synced them and everything. For my last couple of videos I have used Camtasia to record, but for some reason it still doesn't play at the same time (the sound in both videos were about 4 seconds faster than the screen...)

You could try to mess with the Clip Speed of your video file to see if maybe that might sync it to the audio properly. What file type is your videos in?

I use Premiere Pro to edit and render. The few videos I've done on-camera I've had to do with my iPod and then sync it to whatever I'm doing, because my webcam sucks

I am able to easily do it in .avi though
