This is a little horror adventure game made in RPG Maker 2000 by a Japanese man named kouri and translated to English by vgperson. It is short (I think it is shorter than Ao Oni), but it has an enthralling atmosphere and music, and it has multiple endings, which adds to its replay value. The horror is made mostly by surreal and creepy imagery and realizations that spark into your brain when you analyze the events of the game carefully.
Synopsis: A nine year old girl named Ib has gone to visit an art gallery with her parents. The gallery exposes the works of Weiss Guertena, an artist that worked on many different styles of art. Suddenly, when looking at one of the pictures, the lights flicker for a moment, and when Ib looks around again, everybody in the gallery has disappeared. From there on, she will end up trapped in a strange and surreal world where Guertena's art has come to life, and is not particularly friendly...
The english version of the game can be downloaded here. Screenshots of the game can be found here.
The game needs the RPG Maker 2003 Runtime package to work. If you don't have it, you can set it up by downloading the game and running the file 'RTPMaker.exe' that comes in the game's archive. Also, this version of the game should be run on non-Japanese locale setting. If you run it on Japanese locale, certain sounds and music files may not play during the game, and you may encounter other problems.
