[Nameless] Game I'm making currently. :- )

Hey guys!

Currently I'm making a game, I'm not sure if I will finish it. Give me some tips, and things I can improve.

Some information about the game:

Type: First Person
Genre: Horror
Story: Not finished yet.
Playtime: ± 15 min.
Engine used: Unity3D

for the music, you can use psytrance, it's kinda dark but dope

I suggest that you try to create different sort of jumpscares each time and try not to make it too frequent. Also, please don't make it a Slender clone, I think it's best you take a look at other horror games that are out there. Maybe something like Dead Space and Resident Evil. Being able to fight back is something you don't see in many indie horror games these days.

Thanks for you reaction. I'm gonna try to make the jumpscares different and not too frequent. I don't like slender myself so I won't make it a slender clone. Dead Space and Resident Evil are both 3rd person, but I know what you mean. ;- )

The first level won't be a fight back. In the second level you will be able to fight back with things you find. (I hope I can do this.)

I'm thinking about it. My ideas come when I'm making the game and I didn't have much time this week (so far) because of school. But I'll work on the project whenever I can.

I think it could be really cool if you had 3 different monsters running around.
Like you see one and think "oh crapthat monster scary" then you could randomly bump into the other one and it'd be like "omg whaaaat? *scared face*" or something. Idk, I just like the idea of multiple monsters aha.

Well I'm intrigued. Always on the lookout for new (non Slender-clones, as said) horror games. Looking forward to seeing a more fleshed out version of this. Will you be releasing alpha or beta versions for play?

To make it a good horror, make sure the monster is no slender man -like being...Slender man is the most MAINSTREAM, GENERIC, STUPID, excuse for a monster. Personally, a good type for monster/ hostile in a horror game is a monster that has that creepy "look". I don't think you should make the monster overly-mutated because it usually makes the monster a lot less creepier. Make the monsters just have a little bit of a deformed look...Monsters that creep me the heck out usually have no eye sockets...or hollow mouths. Maybe a creepy mask'll do it. Just make the monster look creepy, don't focus too much on making him look..well...."monstery". There, that'll do it.

Again, I hate slender man, so I wouldn't make it a slender man being. Thanks for the tip, those monsters also creep the heck out of me
