Alden paused a second, unsure if he was interrupting anything important.
"While the idea of letting a criminal loose doesn't sit well with me, if we send the captured wolf back to her home, it would be a step in proving that we are not their enemy. If nothing else, it will confuse them slightly."

-A lone wanderer rides over the borders of the Kingdom, knowing not the laws of the land nor the expectations of the monarchs.
-His heart swells with the anticipation of adventure. With sword at his side, steed beneath him, and a willingness to serve, the wanderer ventures towards the castle.
- I suppose I have no other path to take but the one that leads to the castle gates. Perhaps I'll find some instruction there. I hope the more experienced Lords of this Realm will be patient with me.

Perhaps that could be brought up at the negotiations, milord?
On that subject, as i am sure you are aware, i cannot be present during the negotiations, as a matter of courtesy.

Having missed more than half of the conversation between king and advisor, Alden made a mental note to visit the library in the near future, so as to decipher this ancient language being used.

However, thankfully, the order given was spoken in common. [Or so this writer wants to assume, anyway...]
"Very well, milord. It shall be done."
The fox gave a bow, and left to fetch the wolven spy.
"Wha'? Time for my execution, is it?"
"Don't be dense. I'm taking you home."
"You... What...? What was all that about facing your kind in battle, then?"
"It is the king's will, not mine. Are you coming or not?"
"Well... I don't really have a choice, do I?"
"Not one."

A sigh.
"Oh alright, then..."
"Good. Now, to ensure you don't make an ill-fated escape attempt, you need to wear these ropes..."

As expected, that last part was taken very well by the wolf.
"WHAT?!"
"Not my idea, I swear!"

A fuming wolfess bound only by the hands would later be found at the castle gates, accompanied by Alden, who was trying, and failing, to calm her down.

-i bow and follow your orders, making sure all literature on the family's language was still in the hidden archives afterwards-
Good. All present and accounted for.

Sorry all! I seem to have killed the thread 0_0 I didn't realise that they had to be set roles. Should have read the rules more carefully. If the role of Guard is still available I'll take that? Unless the thread shuts down. Still new to this
