  • Recording My Voice and Others on Pc

So many of you have hopefully seen Pewds play some coop games online and what not with friends. He records his voice and theirs too. How do I do that? I want to be able to do the webcam thing, record my voice, record the game, and record their voices. I have a mic, webcam, fraps, and games. What else do I need so I can record everyone else's voice along with my own voice and have it all go together without having to an extreme amount of editing to get it all to match up right?
  • Well the way I do it:

    Recording:
Fraps for game video and audio
Sound forge or audacity for microphone
    OBS for webcam(if needed)

If I have someone else in the letsplay they will record their own commentary and send it over to me.

To sync stuff together just do something at begining video that you can sync the audios with and cut it out. For example my friend musha says "punch" and punches me in minecraft at same time, I use that to sync the audio with my video.

Regardless how do you do actually choose to do it, you cant make anything good looking fast. Editing doesnt take extreme amount of time but it takes while and if you want to make good quality videos that's simply how it goes.
  • Well if you play with headphones and have set so headphones pick all the audio then you could record skype call while recording game with fraps. The problem is that you cant adjust the voices afterwards. Meaning you might:
    1. Lose game audio cause skype is too loud.
    2. Lose skype audio cause game is too loud.
    3. Corrupted file (no audio) would normally only make you lose game audio, but in this case you would lose pretty much everything.

You should ALWAYS record everything seperatly, that way losing just one of the sources wont ruin the entire video.
