planning on upgrading laptop RAM

Hi guys, i got a question.
I want to upgrade the RAM on my ASUS N53JF-SX091V , it's a laptop
It now has 4gb of RAM and i want to upgrade that to 8gb.
Anyone knows a compatible RAM for this laptop?

EDIT: If anyone knows a EU site (prefer Dutch) who has info about related stuff and/or can do this for me please send that too

What OS are you running on? You should be able to find those details within your system information (likely under hardware).

If your really stuck you could always remove the compartments from the laptop (rear panel, when its cool - remember to discharge any static electricity from your hands) then remove (or inspect) the RAM currently installed - if it was the original RAM that was installed it may have a sticker on the stick stating the type of RAM, pins etc.

Standard there is a 64-bit version of Win7
But i am now currently running Win8 Pro 64-bit

But the question here is if you know any RAM who is compatible with this laptop because i was googling and searching the web for more then 2hours and could only find one and im not even 100% sure it is compatible

If you want 100% answer then contact the maker of your laptop with your model type and year. Their customer service support team should be able to give you the details.

If you have the original packaging of the laptop they may be a booklet stating the specifications inside with the RAM details.

Haha most laptops offer it but you have to be careful which new ram you chose and you must know what the maximum amount of RAM is, for instance mine is now 4gb but can handle 8gb as a max. i just need to open a little cover underneath my keyboard and then take the old out and put new ones in

Yeah have been for a while

macbooks are pretty good/easy for upgrading too

You can use paging memory but to change the RAM on laptops from my knowledge is hard.

Tbh, it's really based on your laptop.
i can do it now already on my own but rather have a professional doing it so it won't mess up for sure
