Hi guys, I've been racking my head trying to fix this.
I have a CUDA enabled gtx 650 ti boost 2g, and am trying to render in Mainconcept AVC at -any- resolution. If I set the encode mode to use the GPU for the render, an error pops up saying it couldn't be written, and the problem couldn't be identified (figures).
I can set the encode mode to use CPU only and that works, albeit MUCH MUCH slower.
I also attempted rendering using Sony AVC using GPU (changing the memory stick setting to avc), it worked and was a fast render, but the quality of the video was garbage.
I've read that despite having a CUDA enabled card, the nvidia CUDA drivers somehow wonk Vegas up. So the solution would be to delete the CUDA drivers, but that means screwing with system files and potentially screwing up my PC.
I'd like to use the CUDA on my card to be able to render more than one video a day heh. If anyone can help I'd appreciate it.
EDIT: God I'm an idiot, I had to raise the bitrate of the Sony AVC codec, haha. Sony acknowledged that there's an issue with their software. Lol what else is new?
