Lands of the ancient

Perched on a cliff, my maroon cloak flowing behind me from the wind, i look down to the land below. Sighing, i close my eyes and bring my hands together. " Great Goddess, give me strength. May my moves be swift, my aim be precise, and should i fail, may you grant me forgiveness.". With a deep breath, i then jump off the cliff and land on the ground hard, causing the earth around me to shake.

As i land in a crouching position, i look up as my eyes dart around the land. Seeing that there was no one around, i slowly stand, still being cautious to my surroundings. " That cave should be around here somewhere. i have to find it to learn more." adjusting my hood, i start to slowly walk forward.

I feel the tremors and ready my weapons.
(That wasn't natural.)
"I'll go check it out."
I leap out the window and land softly on the ground, then rush towards the tremor's source.

As i walk, i sense life energy coming towards me. Unsheating my sword, i crouch in a defensive stance and call out. " Who goes there? don't deny that you are there. i can sense your life energy. Come out now or face the consequences."

I quickly draw my own blade and advance.
"I am Alaster. Who the hell are you, and why the hell'd you interrupt my dinner?"

" I am Oriana, and i meant no interruption to your meal. i am simply a traveler with a place to be and i must walk through here to find it." i point my blade at Alaster. "if you try to halt my expedition, i will see that your death is quick and painless."

I sheathe my blade.
"It is not my place to interrupt your journey.
I apologize for my brusqueness, and beg your forgiveness."
I bow deeply.
"If i may show you to town?
Or are you heading elsewhere?"

" please, show me the town. i am in need of a place to rest after a long journey" i say, sheathing my blade as well. " and i accept your apology"

"Very well."
I lead you to the city.

"so tell me Alastar, who do you house with?" she asked, readying her hidden dagger incase things went wrong

I place a comforting hand on her shoulder.
"Relax. I am housed in the palace for now, and there is nothing to fear there, certainly not me."
I give a comforting gaze to Oriana.
"I would never hurt a lady."

i release my grip on my dagger "okay.."

I smile and lead Oriana to the palace, where I lead her to the housing for guests.
"Please take any room that is available and rest. Your journey must have been long and tiring.
I truly look forward to conversing with you later."
I go to my room and lie down, then begin to rest.

i bow slightly before heading into the first empty room i saw. taking off my cloak, my 'birthmarks' were glowing slightly, since i felt threatened at first but the glow had died down. taking off my equipment and setting it near the bed, i lied down and immediatley fell asleep

i wake up the next morning feeling fully refreshed/ getting up, i slip on my boots and head outside to watch the sunrise, my hair tied back into a ponytail that flew behind me as a breeze came through
