Video EDITING Softwares

Hey, I'm kinda' standard when it comes to editing and have been using Movie Maker up to this point, but I've started to take YouTube a little more seriously lately and would like to upgrade. I'm after something that is affordable and efficient. I'm not going for something that can have all these cool effects, I just need something basic that can cut out boring parts, make transitions and have text on screen etc.

Any suggestions would be appreciated for this!

Oh, and also, does anyone know how to set up a facecam on game play videos, that would help too. xD

I use Camtasia Studio 8 and I think it's enough

Sony movie STUDIO (NOT pro) any version is affordable and are likely to use it for very long time once you get it. No need to upgrade. Pro version has couple features that studio doesnt, but if you dont know what they are or what they do; You dont even need them.

I use Sony Vegas, most people have other preferences especially in the Adobe collection.

In future you can upgrade to certain softwares for cheaper from the current one you own on that website. For instance I bought back in the day Movie studio plat 10 suite and upgraded that later to 12 for maybe 20€ less normal price.

it's also free if you decide to take the "yar-har-har" approach. either way i strongly recommend sony vegas, it's simple to learn for beginners and has a lot of cool options when you get more familiar with the program

Well, I use Sony Vegas Pro 12 and it's quite enough for me.

Sony Vegas is one of the best easy software . It is expensive but there are others ways of getting it

well if you want something easy to use then use sony vegas but if you want something hard to use which i dont think is hard just confusion then use adobe premiere.
