      Hey, :D Does anyone have a good story line for a Zombie Wave game like Cod Zombies. The game i'm making will be over 4-5 games like chapters or episodes. An example is you find yourself in the hospital with a story line and stuff and then the zombies come and you get money by killing zombies to buy new guns and stuff and when you finished that episode/chapter, you escape the hospital and that's where the second chapter comes in, game 2 is based outside the hospital so it's like a continuous campaign. The game will be single player, The game will include bot survivors in your team. So if you got any good story lines, let me know :D Thanks

      Also my other thread i made last year, some of you helped and thanks so much for the the help :) It's nearly finished and all the games will be released all together for FREE!

      Since i wrote the thread in a rush, I'll do it again more clearly and more understandable.


      This project is for a survival horror game.

      It will be a campagain spread over a few games. I need a perfect storyline to make the game more enjoyable!


      These are some features it may or may not include:

      -Other survivors helping to kill zombies - If they die, they die :)
      -A long storyline enough to cover a season
      -Not too big maps because then it will lagg
      -Can add puzzles to it
      -Can add achievements
      -Tasks the player must do (For example find a light switch and a touch is used to start of the game)
      -Find a exist (maybe a key must be found)


      I have a full team ready to start the production of the game

      x1 Graphics Designer
      x1 Audio Maker
      x1 Voice actor

      Nein,too easy and overused.
      How about zombies drop medical supplies [since they're in a hospital] and the player sells them to a group of survivors holed up in said hospital? You could even add boxes filled with that kind of stuff around the map. There is a catch tho,the inventory is not limitless. The player will have to fill his/her inventory with supplies and head back to the survivors to sell them,while of course killing zombies.
      It make the game a bit more challenging imo.
      As for the storyline,you could go for the "patient zero" trope,in which the first infected bites a nurse or something and then the infection spreads. It's basic stuff,but you could make this patient zero some sort of boss,which players will chase throughout the chapters and kill at the end of the game.

      Thanks for the quick reply.

      So the hospital bit for a example (Sorry i didn't explain it properly) But i needed a storyline with the same layout. I like your idea about selling stuff to group of survivors but maybe they trade stuff like food? There can be a starvation and thirst bar and every so often, the player needs to trade supplies with other survivors to live on. That will keep giving the player more time to escape if he cannot find a key to the exist or something. Nurse part is a good idea but it will use up a big part of the map events since there are map size limitations. Maybe the player needs to find his/her family after he exists or something? Something along that idea sounds playable and there could be highly infected zombies.

    • I hate to say it, but top down zombie shooters like that have been done very well before. Not to mention that style of gameplay being older than me (Smash TV anyone?).

      I love having RPG and Strategy elements. Hell the MMO Last Stand has base building similar to Dungeon Keeper, with combat like Fallout Tactics or XCOM. Soaks up lots of hours, while the shooters are only fun if unique (Madness for example; Very fun and original). Dead Island was a good game, but was so uninspired and unoriginal that I bought it and only played 20 minutes of it.

      While I understand top down shooters are relatively simple to make, this is all just food for thought.

      PS, if you haven't played DayZ yet, please do. The most original Zombie game I've ever played. (Other than Zombies Ate My Neighbors haha)

      Top Shooters are easier to make but require more effort in graphics, Maybe the second project can be a top down shooter since most the models are finished for a 3D game.

      I played Dayz..Awesome! :D I got over 300 playtime hours haha but cannot play any more cause of this slow PC.

      -Your Survivor Name is Jack and Each Single day you go out seeking for anyone that survived that night and you grab everything you find that helps you survive your daily life like food, pills, clothes, weapons and you Finally Meet a Crew that has been Hiding and Elementary Hospital and they tell you about there's a place out there with no infection but we'll need a transport supply to get there (whatever that place is) and meanwhile on your journey you face hard challenges on your way make friends, people die face bosses many secrets and information on your trip to that infectionless place and there's a major surprise when you arrive there and zombies could drop weapons and zombies could also infect you and you have to search the whole map for a Antivirus to inject yourself with before you die and you have like 10 minutes before you do, There would be boxes around the whole map and easter eggs and there could be many endings to that game where your whole crew dies or you get infected and haunt your crew down or w/e and there should be also someway to end that infection around the world.       Good Story line, One problem is there are too many limitations so they would probably need to be spilt up into different levels. Also since the storyline you came up with has gather supplies like good and water, there can be a inventory to put all the supplies and use them if the hunger level goes lower or something, the animals can get infected and they act like zombies or something so it would be cool.

      Working on a "nother" zombie game would be really hard, you should add some toches of your own, you can see what people want (Feedback) and add to it something Uniqe from your own ideas, it will make your game much more uniqe and enjoyable

      I wanted to make it co-op but its impossible :( So the game will be single player and completely FREE! :D We have all the stuff needed but the only thing we are missing is a good playable storyline, which is why i started this thread so the community can put forward ideas which will make the game awesome! :)
