I was wondering if i could trouble some fellow bro's for an honest opinion. You can say i suck, but give me your reasons for saying it, so i can grow as a LP-er

    • Hi there! I checked your channel out and you have some entertaining stuff. The only things I would recommend are:

1.) Balance your sound: The whole point of a commentary is the commentary, so either lower the game audio during the recording process, or record your commentary and the game audio on separate tracks and level them post-recording.

2.) Avoid mumbling and filler words like "Umm", or "Uhh". It's fine to use them once in a while, but you need to have an air of confidence about you with your recordings.

Check out my channel too if you have the chance :)

    • Thanks Bro's for the kind words!

Thank you Zajian for the tips! You are defenitly right about the filler words, i really need to get on that. I did not realise i was doing it, very very good tip.

The sound thing is driving me crazy, its a win7 autolevel thing. I have turned of all the autoleveling options of all the audiodevices i have and it stil friggin autolevels the audio.
      It is driving me crazy!

    • I would keep the audio how it is, cuz in-game volume is still very important to hear clearly, but speak louder and with more energy in your videos. The more energy you give off during a video, the more entertaining it is for the watchers.

Also try to avoid filler words like Zajian said. Whenever you speak, be deliberate. It shows confidence!

      ...and women like confidence ;)

One thing you can do is record your voice audio and game audio separately and level them in your video editor another sound editor. I use fraps to record the game video/audio and audacity to record my voice. I clean up my voice with audacity and drop everything in Sony Vegas Pro 11 and reduce the game volume and presto!

If you want people to hear the game dialogue then you should try to avoid talking when they are talking, OR just reduce the game volume when you speak, if you recorded on separate tracks that is.

and Zajian thank you both very much!

Im going to do the seperate track recording. Been fiddling again with win7 for 2 hours now, i give up. Audacity it is!

Thank you all for the tips, feedback and subs guys, i really appreciate it.
What do you guys think of my English? I think its decent and understandable, but maybe a native speaker could voice his opinion. (pun not intended)

To be honest, it never even occurred to me that you aren't a native speaker. You're english is fine! And, on a little side note, one of the things that drew me into watching PewDie over any other Youtuber a long time ago was when his english wasn't so good. It was cool watching him and his speaking skills grow!
