      Hi bros ^^
Some weeks ago I've started to make some 8-bit music and pixel art characters (from Team Fortress 2, L4D etc ...) I want your opinion on what am I doing, if it's good or not :)

For Example: youtube.com/watch?v=n4U4rQ-7TVE (I mainly doing metal songs from my favourite artists, but this almost don't have anything to do with metal music :) ) If you like this, you may join my channel on youtube "DarkForeign".
And for pixel art I will choose my favourite TF2 character the Demoman

img.janforman.com/DemomanFBz1lr.png (just copy URL into your browser :) )

Let me know if you like it, I would make more for you bros :)

    • Thanks for reply, I will make more of my own stuff and try my best :) I am not interested in dubstep and this kind of music, it's just too much electronics. I like instrumental music, like rock and metal, I think I wil stick to it, and by the way, do you like my latest song included in first post ?

    • Just so you're not confused, neither of those are "8-bit".

In fact, it doesn't make any sense to say "8-bit" sprite or music.
Do you mean a sprite that can be displayed on an 8-bit console?
If so, then that's not an 8-bit sprite as it could not be displayed on an 8-bit console.
It's pixel art, to an extent, but not '8-bit'.

As for the music, it sounds great, but you can't call it 8-bit. You can call it a chiptune.
The closest you get to an "8-bit" song is with famitracker. Even vsts that emulate the NES soundchip aren't perfect.
Same as before, if you mean a song that can be played on an 8-bit console, it has to follow certain rules.
Such as only 5 channels playing at once (2 pulses, 1 triangle, 1 DPCM, and 1 Noise) etc..

The reason I quote 8-bit is because 8-bit refers to the console, not the style of sprites or music.
Pixel art and chip tunes aren't 8-bit.
      Just clearing that up :)

Well, that's new. I though 8-bit categorized the whole pixelated work of art rather than the console itself .-.

If you're angry, don't break anybody's heart, they only have one..... Break their bones, they have 206 of them
