Social skills can develop more over time. It took me a few years and a handful of friends before I can just walk up to a random girl and talk to her.
My best advice to you right now is to define and refine yourself. If you can't talk to people now, then make them talk to you. Become an interesting person that people would want to be friends with.
Take up a sport. Join a club. Sport some rockin' threads. Whatever you want to do.
Trust me, little bro, social awkwardness is something that's perfectly normal, and even at my age (19), I had a handful of friends that are socially awkward, but they have amazing personalities.

You should be asking yourself that question instead of others. Things we want to happen in our lives happen because we make them happen. Go make it happen.

If you're having trouble getting a start, try watching some popular TV series online.
Not only will it give you something to relate with others, but it can give you something to talk about. A lot of being socially awkward is not knowing what to talk about. Ask around what shows people watch.

I've thought the same way as you did. But nearly 4 year's ago I found this special girl that understands me on who I am. So once you do find that Special someone, never let go no matter what. Good luck!

I think that "social awkwardness" of our partner should be something we knew before starting the relationship. If that bothers us, why the hell would we even be with them?
It seems that YT videos about relationships are not for everyone.
There are plenty of different people in this world, everyone eventually finds someone special. And I don't mean romantic relationships only, because not everybody wants them. I don't really like people (YUP.) but I get along with many of them and there are few of them who I'm close with and there are also ones that (unfortunately for me) want to be even closer. Few years ago I didn't even imagine things will be like that. All of that just happened. Like BANG MOTHAFUCKA.

Social awkwardness won't prevent you from getting a girlfriend friend, because it come naturally.
