    • Youtube Channel Question

      Sorry if this is at the wrong forum, but I have a question on Youtube.

      I am 11 years old, and I have a more mature voice than most 11 year olds have. I want to make a youtube channel for gaming, such as minecraft, steam games, etc.... Heres my question, how does one get big on youtube? I know in Pewdiepie's post it says his specs of his computer and his headphones and then how he got famous, but I am a bit confused. I have Camtasia Studio 8, Fraps, and Photoshop CS6 for editing and creating videos. I use an Alienware M17x R4 so it is good for gaming, and a Turtle Beach Earforce x12 Headset. So heres a list of questions.

      1. How do I get well known? Do I need to put advetisments? (If so, how?) Post it on other websites such as facebook, twitter, etc...?

      2. How do I keep my viewers from getting bored? For example, if I made a Minecraft Lets Play, what if I forget what to say and like blank out xD?

      3. What games do players like? Action, singleplayer, Multiplayer?

      Thanks for reading!

    • Before I even start: the point of making some sorta channel like this is not to get well known, it's to have fun and enjoy it. If you're doing it to get famous, well you're just gonna fuck yourself. Anyway;
      1. If you really want to get well known and people to like you, DON'T annoy people with links. Just put up your videos, put up a thread for your channel, and one thread for videos, and calmly ask people ONCE if they would like to see that thread. But don't just throw it out there like 'yo niqqa wan c my thred?'. Ease it into the conversation politely. And as for the ads, just put it on some websites. But don't spam them, either. Don't worry about legit ads.
      2. This might be a hard one, but try to keep them involved by acting as if you were actually in a conversation with the viewers, like they were behind you as you were playing the game. And don't worry about blanking it, just comment about what's happening then and now. And if you really need help with that, create a text doc, put some key things you want to talk about or mention, and keep it open while playing the game. But DO NOT make a script.
      3. Players will like whatever the fuck you put on your channel because it's your goddamn channel and you do what you want with it.
      One last thing, I would hesitate to do Minecraft. Do something else that isn't overrated on Youtube right now. Find a unique style. For example, I love to do oldschool retro games and stealth games, it's not completely original but it's better than "MINECRAFT MOD SHOWCASES YAY." Oh, and one last thing, don't let people piss you off, because a lot of them will comment about your age. Just ignor them. Hope this helps, good luck with the channel.
