    • Life isn't just about passing on your genes. We can leave behind much more than just DNA. Through speech, music, literature and movies...what we've seen, heard, felt...anger, joy and sorrow...these are the things I will pass on. That's what I live for. We need to pass the torch, and let our children read our messy and sad history by its light. We have all the magic of the digital age to do that with. The human race will probably come to an end some time, and new species may rule over this planet. Earth may not be forever, but we still have the responsibility to leave what traces of life we can.

Building the future and keeping the past alive are one and the same thing.

    • So I hear you want a life lesson, little bro.

I'm in university right now studying to become a doctor. I got top-tier grades in high school and I have a bright future with my current GPA. I live in residence and I always leave my door open for people to just come in and chill or talk. Now, that's a completely different story for me to tell. What I wanted to mention was that whenever they walk in, I'm always on my laptop playing games. I get constantly asked this by my friends and family, "If you play games so much, how do you get such good grades?"

All your life, I'm sure you get told to study hard and constantly and leave no time for things such as gaming. Big bro over here, however, is about to say differently. I'm telling you that you need to have some sort of hobby to be able to succeed in both academically and socially. Now, don't read this message and say "ALRIGHT! NOW I'M GOING TO GAME ALL DAY AND GET 100% ON MY NEXT TEST!" No.

Having fun is very important, but you still need to study. An important skill to learn is how to manage stress. Studying continuously for hours at a time causes a lot of stress on the mind. Taking a study break every hour or so can not only relieve stress, but it can also help you remember things better.

Another point I want to make is time management. There are a lot of things to do in life. You can play games (Aww yeah!), study for class, hang out with friends, etc. If you game all day long, you wouldn't have spent much time with your friends (Boo... :(), and you probably wouldn't do well in school.
Spend less time doing wasteful things.
Don't play games while studying. Play games, THEN study. It'll ruin the experience of the game and you won't retain a lot of what you're studying.
Kill two birds with one stone by doing stuff with friends! Invite a friend over to study and game.
Develop your priorities. Think to yourself, "Does gaming require 50% of my time or 20% of my time?

I feel like I'm getting off topic, so I'm just gonna stop here. Good luck, have fun little bro ^^

    • Love everybody you possibly can. Stay open minded about the world, even if you have been close minded your whole life. If you try both these things you will generally find yourself to be happier person because love and open mindedness supports whatever could possibly happen with people or events.
    • I can think of a few life lessons, just not in a speech.
      1. Don't eat the yellow snow.
      2. Don't expect to be able to fight with a keyboard and be defended by a computer screen.
      3. Gravity hates everyone equally.
      4. Be careful about what you say around quiet people, they hear everything.
      5. Try to focus on what beauty there is in the world, once you see everything that's bad about it, you wont unsee it.

    • Words are words until you put meaning in them yourself
What I mean by this is don't give a damn if someone is dissing you, you yourself can choose to respond to it and make a bigger mess or just ignore the hell out of them/her/him/....it.... :)
