What do you think the meaning of life is?

    • Personally, i think life is a test, though the purpose remains unknown. The rules are written in our religious books and we often judge eachother based on what rules we follow, which drives us away from the original purpose: to pass. The only way you can fail is by giving up and taking your life, or by harassing and interrupting other people's attempts to pass. Along the way, there will be complications and obstacles that seem impossible to overcome, but if others have passed, you can too. You should enjoy the break time between each obstacle, no matter how long. Help others pass too, cause that is a definite bonus. When i say i believe everyone is equal, i dont mean everyone deserves the same respect, i mean that everyone has the same capabilities (no buffs or nerfs) to pass. Its a simple concept really, i wish everyone would stop complicating life.

      Just kidding.
I'm not going to pretend I know what the meaning of life is but I've thought about this before.
The life you were given or life in general doesn't have purpose.
We have to give life purpose otherwise we wouldn't want to be alive.
Everyone has a different meaning to their life.
Some live for their family, some live to fall in love, some live for the passion of eating chocolate chip cookies (Don't ask but I met a dude, pretty happy guy actually).
If you don't give yourself purpose, you won't choose to live another day.
So the meaning is up to the life of the being that is asks.
    • I don't believe in a deity. And I don't believe we have any particular "purpose". But I believe that over time, humanity has created its own purpose.
We've always been searching for the answer to various questions, however impossible they may seem. Humanity has discovered the most amazing things, uncovered amazing truths. We share knowledge and hide secrets. We always want to know more. We want the answer to everything we don't know the answer to. Why is this? Why is that?
And from that, sprouted amazing things. Inventions, mathematics, theories, scientific discoveries, religions, several art forms.
We've dug up the bones of the Earth and dated them as far back as we can, and we've done it over and over and will go as far as we can.

So, as it pertains to humanity, I believe the purpose of life is to search.

      ^This.

The meaning of life is sharing knowledge through procreation (evolution), it was like this since when we know about the existence of "life" in general. I don't know why we should do that, but if we don't, there'll be no life in the future for our specie, the cool thing is that we do it automatically like we was programmed to share our knowledge.
      burn baby, burn.
