Help with Camtasia recorder

    Hey guys and bros and whatever.

    I came up with a problem while using camtasia, it worked fine at first because I was using games that you can play in window mode, but whenever I try to record a game that is in Full size camtasia doesn't record , it just shows black screen and the sound that the game makes. Now I know that there's a solution to this problem because there are some tutorials where they try to explain how to do it but sadly fail to do it miserably (Or I'm just stupid enough to not get what they're trying to say). Nevertheless, I was hoping one of you here are using this program and know how to salve this. (I've already tryed using Lock to application and changing windows 7 into a basic theme or whatever it's called) thank you kindly ! (Sorry if I "sound" angry in here, I'm very pissed off at this point. ;D)

  • A solution you can try is going to the games settings and setting it to be a window. So it's not full screen, then set the recorder to only record the window. On my LP, I recorded scribblenauts. That is a full screen game, but I had to make the window very small to record. However i set up my recorder to only record the window, so it looks good on youtube. Sometimes it's just something you'll have to do. I'm serious, the window literally took up maybe 1/10 of my screen. (pretty tiny).
