Getting permission

Hey there.
So I need help from anyone who can provide it.
I'm trying to figure out how to get written permission to use someone else's YT content on my YT channel.
I made two montages for one of my favorite LP'ers using footage from his channel.
I tried partnering with a gaming network and they said I need to get written permission from said YouTuber.

How do you go about doing that?

You should contact the owner of the content tell him/her the situation and ask/pay for his/her permission.
Damn you common sense.

Yep, basically what Bundyclan said, plus one thing:
If the creator is asked about, you should obviously credit the person you asked permission for, the real creator of the footage. I mean, if youre using someone else's footage, for example.
But i dont really think there can be a document to prove that.. It sounds like a stupid boureocracy to just ask a document about things, even if the guy is supporting you with the credit thing..

I did get permission. I've spoken to him and even put the credit in the description. Shit, he even put it on his channel and credited me. He agrees to give me permission but I need concrete proof. A document or something.

If he sends you a mail or PM through Youtube its enough proof for me to be honest.

Like something written that says blah blah blah he gives me permission to use content from his videos on my YouTube channel. A "written agreement" if you will. I was told I needed that by N4gtv when I tried to partner with them.

Man, i got it. I just dont think its really necessary. For me its just delaying. You sure theyre not trying to bargain with you? Its not really needed at all.

Well that's just what they told me. Not sure if every network is like that but, I can understand why. I may very well be just stealing people's videos and such. Of course I'm not though lol.

Well, I have. I'm kinda wanting to wait until I have more subs/views though. I have 334 subs and almost 10k views. I wanna wait until I have at least 1k subs. I hate seeing stupid kids with like 12 subs getting partnered with RPM and all of that. I'll never partner with them. I have gotten contacted by a subsidiary of "Fullscreen" called "Creator-X" I thought about joining them, but there wasn't enough feedback from anyone to form a solid opinion. Any suggestions?

That is the hard part. You're going to need to contact the youtuber manually (I believe) and get them to write permsission, and I think that youtuber will have to personally show them it. If it's a famous youtube you're probably out of luck there. I might be wrong, but i'm about 80% sure that is how it goes.
