External Audio Program?

Hey im about to begin doing lets plays. I have maked som demo's and i have 1 question. Do i need to use an External Audio Recorder or do i just record my sound with Fraps?

If Yes: How long down should i turn audio? 30%?

Well use only fraps it records everything
but how much you will keep your volume it depends on the game,I would suggest around 10% it's good enough.
