Question about Persona 3: FES

    • I've been thinking to get a portable version of P3 myself. Is it any good? Seems ALOT more darker than P4 (Inb4 the emo looking protagonist use a gun as a summoner or some sort rite?)

    • Just googled it and read that Monad is unlocked since start in New Game+ (if you beat Grim Reaper in 1st run), so that could be only unlock.

      Edit: Yup they use guns to summon their Persona. I liked P3 storyline, but I don't know about portable version since in it you can pick gender of your char, so most likely female char will have different story, SMT wiki has more info.

    • The portable version of P3 is essentially P3 with Monad. Also, you can't move around as in P4, because the PSP couldn't handle it. Therefore, you see the characters models only in cutscenes and fights.

      anyway i just found that i need to complete the game once to also fight Elizabeth... so i guess i'll search for a savegame and edit it to have MC at lvl 1. (wouldn't be fun to play with him already at level 99...)

      also it's not that it is darker than P4, it's just the dungeons and the shadows that have a more "serious" look. the deepness of the storyline is the same anyway

      and yes, the storyline in P3P changes just a little if you pick the female character. some social links are different (you can date Junpei instead of just being friends, i think it could be done with Shinjiro too)

    • P3P severely downgrades the graphic quality, so there's only 3D models in fights and theres no more anime cutscenes I believe.

      Aside from the new events and female character choice, there's not much difference in P3P and P3 FES. If you REALLY want all the new extras get P3P. But if you want better graphics (and the new exclusive chapter) then get P3 FES.

      You can't date Junpei.
