  • A good subtitles program?

    Hi Bros!
Alright, so recently I wanted to upload a video on YouTube. Everything worked fine, but when I wanted to add subtitles I tried on many different extensions, but YouTube told me everytime that the subtitle's format is not accepted.
I must mention that I used Subtitles Workshop Beta, and probably the reason is this program, which is not very good.
Can someone please tell me a good program for subtitles?

  • Did you try using CaptionTube? Eh.. Actually CaptubeTube is not a program but a site that can put captions in your Youtube Videos and then when your video is publish, the viewers have the ability to disable/enable captions on your videos. But if you really want to put Subtitles.. well I don't know any program of it. So.. Can I have a question why do you want to put a subtitle on your video anyway?

  • Because... That'll look like I'm an idiot.
WELL, there are on YouTube channels which reuploads PewDiePie's videos with subtitles in another language, and I thought MAYBE it's not a very bad idea if I'm trying to subtitle in romanian. And how I said up there I have some problems.
Now, probably that many of you will say that reuploading his videos is illegal and something like that, but other channels could (of course, the title and thumbnail will be different from him as I'll reupload his videos).
Your suggestions is quite good, bro, but anyone who knows a good subtitles program, please feel free to write it here. :)

  • You've mentioned you use Subtitle Workshop, so I'd suggest you make a new file for subs, import the desired video and when done with editing save as .srt.

(In the different types of Sub extensions, you pick the one called SubRip)

Save it on your desktop and then, manually, change the extension from .srt to .sbv. Youtube works just fine with this. Hope this helped. Good luck! :)
  • Thanks for all the suggestions, bros, but I think I'm gonna use a program called Aegisub, which looks promising since now.
If I'll ever have problems, I'll use your suggestions :)
