New cheap gaming pc - HELP

Okay so I'm trying to help out my friend here and he wants a new computer for ~ $360

The computer must be powerful enough to play games while recording..

Some of the games he wants to record is skyrim and battlefeid.

the answer is kinda straight: you won't record those games with a 360$ pc. or at least, you'll record things at the lowest quality at 15 frames per second.

higher the budget or buy a console and a HD PVR

Record AND able to play without lag... thats tough for under 400 USD. I have a 900 dollar comp and I can only use fraps, audacity, webcam and game.

I cannot use recording software that compresses/converts at same time or it affects my gameplay performance significantly.

Yeah, you might need a capture card if u want to do it on one computer.

A second harddrive would help. One for gaming and one for writing/recording.

Just a hundred more and you can play most games @ low-medium settings in 1280x720 resolution(720p recording)

+4 core cpu
+Good IGP. Your friend can still play games WHILE saving for a good video card. a Radeon HD 7870.
+8GB ram. You can get a 4GB for $29

This is an excellent cpuxgpu that can many games without having a GPU. He can still save for a lot better though.
