When it comes to me two bands are very meaningfull to me parkway drive and miss may I. Sure they are pure metalcore (which i love btw) but its the lyrics. Especially parkway drive At least take a listen to masses of a dying breed by miss may i. 
hell of a song.
Actually two more bands have came to mind. Take a listen to insomnium and paradise lost to. Dont know if this has helped but i hope it has.

Shinedown is a very good band. But, the problem is this song I listed is very different from the band itself and this is and the 2nd link are the only 2 songs I like from them. Which is a different genre from their other songs. Which is why it's kinda hard to find a similar songs like it.
