    • Finnian glared at his opponents as he stood up, dusting himself off.
      "Fine, then, if that's how it's going to be..."
      He launched himself at Zarak. But instead of striking as expected, he dodged to the side at the last second, turned, and THEN punched, at the back of the head.

      But he didn't stop with that. Finnian had an orange gleam in his eyes as he threw a barrage of strikes into the Half-warlock's back before backing away from what could be his eventual retaliation.

      I won't hold back.
      -I turn around and attempt to hit Finnian in the side of the head with the back of my fist, then cause a barrage of earthen spikes to rush towards Finnian after he dodges-

      At your current level of power, you can't even break my guard.
      Sure hope that sixth tail sprouts quickly, or this won't even be amusing.

      Gotcha!

      The Kitsune slammed a fist into the ground, causing a wall of stone to form and take the impact of the earthen spikes.
      He then placed a palm on that wall, adding stairs to it and taking out a hammer of stone. He then ran up the stairs and leaped off, bringing the heavy hammer down on Zarak's head.

      "Don't you go telling me that didn't hurt!"
      called Sylvia from the sidelines, who had somehow dragged out a couch, and was munching on popcorn.

      I'm stronger than I was.
      -I throw the hammer, Cyrus and all, over my back-
      The virus was restraining me.
      Now that it's gone, my power has increased dramatically.
      Even I don't know my limits yet.
      I guess I have you to thank for that.

      OOC: I'm basing Zarak's power in this stage at what I would guess would be between a six and a seven-tailed Kitsune.
      When Finnian reaches seven-tails, they will be closely matched, with Finnian having a slight edge.
      That's my hope, at least.....

      OOC: A soul link in this fashion does not increase any sort of strength directly, but it gives both souls access to their memories, skills, and spells, allowing for greater variation and more strategies.

    • Finnian/Cyrus didn't try to block the strike. Instead, he grabbed hold of the arm Zarak used to strike, and taking advantage of his momentum, threw him into the ground below.
      He then jumped off the tree branch, landing feet first onto the Half-warlock.

      "Let's see what you think of this! Eruption!"
      With a single clap of the hands, the Kitsune then put a palm on the ground, mixing fire and earth magic.
      Instantly, the ground began to heat up as the Kitsune jumped away from the small volcanic eruption that would occur in one second, at most.

      -I slam my palm onto the ground-
      Cease.
      -the eruption is postponed while I roll out of the way, putting the site of the eruption between us-
      Now!
      -the eruption roars to life, larger than it should have been-

      -I recite a quick chant in the ancient language, and the lava forms a sword that I hold in my right hand-
      I couldn't have summoned that lava.
      Doesn't mean I can't exploit it, though!

      -I rush towards you, and aim a slash directly at your chest-
      Come on! This is child's play!
      -I still don't have any marks on me, scratches or otherwise-

      The Kitsune rolled to the side, just barely avoiding the slash.

      He sprinted towards Zarak again, landing a kick into his chest, but not stopping there.
      "Shotgun Blast!"
      He raised a hand into the air, glowing slightly, then brought it down, raining a small barrage of explosions on his opponent.
      He then slammed a palm into the ground, sending large spikes after his enemy.

      And then, his eyes turned full orange, showing that the link had broken and Cyrus took control.

      What the hell?
      Damn, I really thought we had more time than that.
