    • Sound effects while playing games

Hi to everyone bros! I will start this thread to talk about sound effects in a game. Well, have you ever played a game with the sound muted then with the sound at maximum? I know that is a very big difference. In my opinion the sound effects make a horror game so scary. The best example I know is ''Slender''. I played it when I was at a friend. His headphones didn't work and I had to pla it without sound. I don't know how but I collected aall the pages. When I got home I played it with my headphones on. Collected 6/8 but the atmosphere was so intense that I stopped playing. Share with me your opinion and sugest me games like that. I will try to play them with and without sound and then I will upload them(I'm not sure) on YouTube. Thanks for reading!! ;)
Those people who believe in telekinesis please raise my hand!
    • Slender and the word Scary. BWAHAHAAHAAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Its not a scary game, it will never be scary because it is over done by everyone and is overrated.

And you can't mute a game because of the creepy sound effects, that's a part of the immersion of the game and ruins it if you disable/mute them.
Go play a shooter game pls.
    • Really depends on the person. Some people get scared more by one of their other senses. We have 5 senses (sound, smell, touch, taste, and sight) and for video games and movies we are only using 2. For some people, only 2 of the 5 senses isn't enough to immerse them into a world where their brain can convince them that they are in real danger. For me, sound isn't a make or break, if done well to accent the game, it can be a plus. BTW, can't wait for oculus rift for horror games. :x
