Youtube Question.

When I record my videos, they fill the window right to the edges, bt when i upload them to youtube, theres two black bars down the sides of the video. Any idea how to get rid of them?

What editing program do you use?

change the size of your video(s) to 1280x720 , and it will be 720p. Usually media players scretch the videos for fullscreen .

I use windows movie maker, not really pro at this sort of thing yet.

If you can do it on WMM, untick "keep aspect ratio"

Add "yt:stretch=16:9" or "yt:crop=16:9" to the tags on the video page on YouTube.

Stretch will stretch the video to the 16:9 aspect ratio but it will probably mess up the original aspect ratio and it might look distorted.
Crop will crop the video but will leave out a bit of the bottom and the top area.

Or

In Movie Maker Tools>Options>Advanced tab>Video Properties and there should be radio selection for 16:9.

It's also recommended that the captured videos are in the right aspect ratio.

the best thing would be getting a normal editing software. Even the single Demo version of them.

Thanks for the help guys, it's super appreciated! I'll try out all of these suggestions, and i'll look at getting hold of better software for editing in the meantime!
