Definitely The Witch's House ! It was an epic horror RPGVX games.

Most of Bioware games and BG2 (it had crap expansion, but orginal was great)

I enjoyed TERA Online a lot back in the closed beta. The combat system and visuals make it my favorite MMORPG. There's also the Elin race which I adore and admire for the reason that it's quite unique as well as daring.

I played Conquer Online in the old days too but I enjoy it more for the nostalgic reasons, not for the gameplay or overall quality. It's rather awkward really.

For singleplayer RPG's, I can't pick any definite game either. There's Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas in their glorious post-apocalyptic settings with the VATS that makes the combat more strategic.

Eternal Sonata is a beautiful candy-colored JRPG that's a lot of fun. However it does have a tedious pacing.

Then we have the Chrono Trigger for SNES. Awesome from many aspects. It's probably closest to a flawless RPG in my opinion.

I quickly eyed the thread and didn't see many mentions of Zelda games. Quite surprising.

Bioware games, Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect. I'm really into medieval stuff and dragons so Dragon Age was perfect then i found out about Mass Effect and fell in love

I have to add, if QuackShot wasn't my favorite game of all time, Planescape: Torment would be. It is still the most horrifying game I had ever played, yet remained so engrossing that it's almost impossible to stop.
The storyline is so rich and descriptive. The multiverse of Planescape is highly detailed and engaging. The sound and music is spectacular (The guy who did the voice of Homer Simpson did one of the party members voices FYI).

And the greatness truly shines, to me, in the main character. No PC has ever come this close to being the embodiment of you, the player, than ever before, even compared to modern games. You are not saving any princess, thwarting any villain, or finding any treasure.

Instead, you must find yourself.

There are many who regard this game as the greatest video game ever made. "What can change the nature of a man?"

Skyrim and Mass Effect 3. I played many older ones but just can't remember them now :/.
(Mass Effect 3 I never finished though, for some reason didn't feel like playing even though it was awesome).

World of Warcraft / Skyrim

While games like Skyrim and World of Warcraft are quite good, I would have to go with Ib, since Garry is Hella-cool, as well as most of the Legend of Zelda games. I'm sorry, but it's been revolutionary with nearly every title they've put out. Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask are my faves, though.
