yea I tried to get intouch with pewdie to make an iPod/iphone/ipad app just for him. I have been dealing with 2D/3D apps for more then a year now and have programmed for majority of my life. I thought it would be a good idea to have some of his vids, maybe a barrel game and stuff including a live feed for info on what pewdie is doing. I can do stuff like shaders, graphics, input, vid, music, 2D games, 3D games, multiplayer, GPS, gyro scope, HTTP and much more. I could also put it on the android, PC, mac and blackberry if needed... too bad no one can really contact pewdie about this



edit: I would have built the app a long time ago... it wouldn't take me that long, but I want some form of permission first.

epic edit: I guess if you bro's want, I could make a sample app that would hold the features of the app... give me a list of what you bro's want!!!! at the end of winter break I should have it done!

It could be like a mini pewdiepie yt channel!! it could have random sounds of pews (screaming etc;) and live feed of pewdies twitter/facebook/youtube!! i think if pewdie sees this we could be on to something!!

Paid apps for iOS or Android regarding pewdiepie will be the biggest bullshit I have ever seen on the market mainly due to the fact due to the person who made it is being a plain parasite and gaining money from someone elses hard work.

Such things should be totally free and with that I mean that the author isn´t even allowed to use ads to gain revenue.

I know what you are talking about with the money and apps... usually people go to companies to have them make an app for them and the company would receive a certain amount of money and then the person who designed the app (in this case pewdiepie) would sell it to make money. All I would want from making this app is credit, that I made it... that's all. Anyways if pewdiepie never sees this (which he might ) I can just convert the app into a template for future use. I will just show the functionally of what the app would be like and maybe post a vid about it.

But, i think it would be a good idea to get a ipod right now, as people are dumping them on trading websites dirt cheap. (about $80-120NZ for 8-32gb 4th gen)

ok, got a design down right now. I figure it would have a 3D background with some lighting shaders to have interactive objects look good in the background. You could tilt your device to slightly change the camera view and have objects move in the background... this would be the menu for selecting what you want in the app. The selects (I think) would be video's, blog, news and game at least. You can select the option then the camera rapidly moves to a different part of the 3D world and either goes to a list of vids, posts from a blog or news from pewdie... the game will despawn the objects to generate the game. I know that the odds are great for pewdie to see this or even accept the app, but either way I am glad to do it, I will try my best to finish it in a quick amount of time

The app will download as much as your mobile device will handle. The trick is using a http server to hold the vids and have your app download the vids. The problem is I don't think that feature will be in the app, because of pewdie's partnership... But I could be wrong. For now the vids are going to be links which go into your youtube app.

Yes, that would be a terrific idea. But what would it be about?

Maybe some sort of quiz, or minigame about Stephano or something, haha.

Ok I finally got a prototype of the app working! I put the example program on mediafire for you bro's to try out... it only runs on windows right now. I figure I should finish the code and everything before I put it up for iOs, android and mac. There are a few bugs in the app (selecting menu buttons) and there is really no content at all! It is just to show you the flow of things in the app and how the menu would work. I will be fixing the bugs and adding more things in the alpha 2 (since this is alpha 1) and hopfully byt alpha 3 or 4 I will have a simple game implemented into the app. Of course I realize that most likely pewdie won't see this, but it seems fun for me :-)! here are some additional notes of the app and the link download... have fun *brofist*
