To all New Bros - PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING YOUR CHANNEL!

Hey bro!
I just wanted to share this with you before you post your YouTube channel you put so much time into and get yelled at by a bunch of other bros

This isn't based off the content of your channel or vids...
But generally advertising your channel as your first post... or even within your first 15 posts is very frowned upon here.
This is an awesome community, so you should take the time to become a part of it before you go advertising yourself. It is better to get to know some people, post some other places, and make some friends first.

I'm letting you know this because I think you deserve a chance to know that people are going to respond pretty negatively to your post, but not because of your channel (they wont even look at it). Your channel could be the best thing on YouTube, but if people open your thread and only see a couple of posts from you, they are going to write you off. They will think you don't care about this community and only want more views and subs. So please take the time to become a true member of the forum before posting your channel here.

To be honest I did the same here, but at least I'm stayin. I only became the SCP idea from this forum. So much inpiration here.

The most of the bros are just coming here, advertising their channel and actually never come back.

I hope it gets better in the future.

I haven't even planned to advertise my channel here, other than just have it in my signature

I'm more like the type that wants to get views/subs just by uploading videos on youtube^^ Fair and square

Ok, now you confuse me people, you think it's better to "falsely" go around and befriend people to later be allowed to post your channel?

I thought most of you knew the rules and guidelines of this forum, YOU ARE ALLOWED TO ADVERTISE, regardless of how many posts or whatever you have, as long as you don't spam it.

What are you talking about Poroner? This thread is about people advertising as their first post, which is in fact allowed, any other threads are people advertising or you are referring to the Forum Guidelines, stop being weird.

I realize it isn't against the rules and personally I don't really care if people post their channels in here as their first post. I am just trying to inform people that alot of bros will reply negatively to their thread (as is quite evident from past posts) and that generally it is NOT because of their videos.

I just don't want new bros posting their channels and seeing people respond "NO!" and then thinking "Ah, crap... my videos must suck..."

Good question but all in all I have done that as a first post (didn't link it though) without actually thinking it through. But I still plan on sticking around getting to know all you bros from around the world (quick question [not counting subscribers] how many bros are there?)

i think we surpassed 5000 member just recently if you mean like bros on the forum
