    • Valon750 - Amateur Let's Player always looking for suggestions :)

      Hey there everyone,

I was a little cautious about posting on here, mainly due to the fact that I didn't want to seem like a bit of an idiot, flailing my work around all different sites like the higher ups say, regardless, I'm sure this community is for the most part in the same boat as me :)

So let's get some things out of the way shall we?

The name I go by on the internet is Valon, but my real name is Joe. I'm 16 years old and left school last July, unfortunately I'm not in work or college as of yet, luck just hasn't been on my side I guess.

Although I do let's plays, I don't really tend to stick to one genre, seeing as that's not how I play in general, I look for suggestions, see what it's like and if I like it then I'll most likely record it. So far I've started a few series which have gained different amounts of viewer groups, which is always interesting to see as it lets me see what everyone's in to :)

As for future plans, well as I guess most others say, I'm looking to get partnership, hopefully build up a big enough viewer base to the point where I can in fact make this in to a job. I'm on adsense at the moment but as I'm rather amateur to all of this, it's not bringing in much at all, regardless, I'm keeping at it and hoping that I can catch a break :)

So if anyone's interested in checking me out, see what I have to offer, here's a link: youtube.com/user/valon750

Let me know what you think, looking forward to some feedback and what not,

      Take care guys,

I hope you are really joking on the job part.

Also , I hope you are here to actually contribute to the forums by socializing with other members of the community and not use this as a free service to try go get more attention. Please be more active within the community.

Wow -.- thanks for the warm welcome.

Do bare in mind I've not been here long, at least give me more than a few minutes to find a topic that I find interest in.

You could have spent your time more wisely by introducing yourself and making yourself known in the community by contributing in various topics prior to advertising here for your own gains.

PS. Do bare in mind that I approved your topic to be posted here btw.

      That's the idea,

Many YouTubers would like it to be their job, it's good to have a goal set, otherwise you'll just get bored

My advice, never count your chickens before they've hatched. Be happy if you become successful, however focus on what is important, school. You need something to fall back on. Keep it as a hobby for now, because even if you become successful and make enough for a living it won't last forever. Nothing last's forever, can you imagine pewdiepie doing this for the rest of his life? I highly doubt it because there will always be something else, another ambition.

It is important to become a member of the community if you are looking for their support. A lot of people come here just to advertise their channel, and some members are a bit fed up. I recommend you interact with the community, after awhile you may find some more supportive individuals.
    • Note I've only recorded one series in Minecraft, which I haven't updated since the last few episodes I posted?

It was a final test to see if MineZ was being recorded as much, you can see the impact the higher up players have on the community, it's rather interesting
    • Playing popular games are easy way to get subscribers.
Like the normal BS on yt (CoD, Minecraft, Slender, Scary Games in general)

As i said, you have alot to improve. And i guess you havent been on youtube for so long either.
It takes a hell alot of time to even get anywhere. Getting a decent viewerbase takes atleast 2 years of hard work, if it goes faster, you are either cheating or being lucky.
Hit me up for advice, but you started off pretty bad on this forum creating a youtube thread for starters.
    • Well at the end of the day I wasn't given the best response either, which is understandable from what I've read.

At the same time, this hasn't really given me the best impression from the community, but hey if you give me a chance we can see what can be done.

As for people posting in the IRC or whatever it is, you're welcome to delete this post, seeing as you're so hurt by it.
