Cry of Fear error

Everytime I try to load up Cry of Fear, I get this error:

Can you guys help? I installed .NET Framework 4 already so that's not the problem.

Never mind I know what I did wrong. Ill just buy the game its just 10 bucks. Sorry for the wasted thread.

I think he means Half-Life which is required for CoF to run properly.

Yea I meant Half-Life. I thought since Im not going to play Half-Life, just Cry of Fear, I thought it would be fine to pirate it just for CoF because its free. But apparently you have to buy the game off of Steam in order for the mod to work.

Half Life 1 is soooooo worth the money :V , seriously that game still outbosses current games with gameplay and story and such

Its called go to your yarr version of halflife and

CTRL + C , CTRL + V cry of fear in that folder and it will overwrite HL stuff :V

You will have to create a .bat file to launch the game

It worked for me with an other mod way back xD
