  • Partnership and Networks - Explanation

So I decided to make this thread to help out anyone who's seeking advice for joining a network or for anyone who doesn't know what a partnership is.
    So let's start :

Partnership - Basicly you get to earn money from making videos. When you get a partnership you get all those pretty things like custom thumbnails, channel banner, options to create shows on youtube, option to claim your videos, and you get to earn money from the videos you make. Note that all of the money that your videos actually earn will be split between the network you got partnered with and you. Usually the network takes 40% of your earnings and you get the rest 60%. In some networks they give you 70% and they take 30% obviously. The catch to this is that you CANNOT upload COPYRIGHTED content. In all of the videos you MUST own the content. (There are some sites that allow you to upload their music and in return they ask to put their link into the video description.)

Networks - There are a lot of networks that are currently giving out partnerships and you can apply by going to their site. However most of the networks have requirements to join such as number of views per day/month,subscriber count, quality content and such. I'm going to make a list of the most popular ones. (Not in the particular order.)

TGS (The Game Station) - thegamestation.com/ - Personally to me this is the best network for games. Never heard anything bad about them, and they don't seem to have requirements to join but they won't take anyone, and in most of the cases they will recruit you to the network instead of you applying. It is a subnetwork of Maker Studios same as RPM.

Fullscreen - fullscreen.net/ - (more to be added when I get more info)

Machinima - machinima.com/ - Machinima was considered the best gaming network overall. Recently they seem to recruit/accept just anyone, and have been giving out 3+ years contract which is not good at all if you're a youtuber who just started out a few months ago.

Maker Studios - makerstudios.com/ - Currently the most popular network on youtube. (more to be added when I get more info)

Yeousch - yeousch.com/ - Yeousch is mostly a community. They have a requirements such as 1000+ subscribers or they will recruit you with less if they think you're good enough. Yeousch is a subnetwork of Fullscreen. They had a recent problem with the network but now they're back on the feet.

RPM (Record Promote Monetize) - rpmnetwork.com/ - With Socialblade and Creator X they're currently one of the networks that have lowest requirements to join starting from 90+ views per day. Also your channel must be at least a month old. Their support isn't so good but also isn't so bad. Takes them around 2-3 days to respond to emails, but they're very active on twitter and respond in a matter of minutes. RPM's spotlights are much more effective than Socialblade's. They're subnetwork of Maker Studios. They have dynamic CPM which means that you're not locked in on let's say 2.50$ per 1000 views. It depends on the ads that are displayed on your videos. One year contract.

Socialblade - socialblade.com/ - Basicly Socialblade is a recruiter network for RPM. If you sign a contract with SB,you'll be an RPM partner. Same will happen if you sign a contract with RPM,you'll get a SB partnership as well. Support is a bit better with Socialblade though. They have their spotlights which aren't very effective. One year contract.

TGN (The Gaming Network) - tgn.tv/ - Subnetwork of BroadbandTV. Similar requirements as Yeousch. A few months ago many of the TGN partners were complaining about the payouts, but it seems that that problem is solved now and they're doing just fine. There is no lock in on their contract so you're free to leave whenever you want.

Creator X - apply.fullscreen.net/creatorx - Requirements are same as RPM. They're subnetwork of Fullscreen and have the same dynamic CPM as RPM. Never heard anything bad about this network, and they seem to grow more and more with each day. Contract lenght is same as RPM's.

It is up to you to decide which one you think it's the best for you.
The easiest ones to get partnership with are RPM/Socialblade and Creator X. Although Machinima tends to take just anyone around these days, but recently they've been handing out unfair contracts. Mid range networks are TGN and Yeousch. High requirement networks are TGS,Fullscreen and Maker Studios. Take a look, and decide what best for you.
PS: Advice for everyone who's trying to get partnered - READ THE CONTRACT! Read it ten, twenty,a hundred times if you have to.
Partnership won't get you instant fame or anything like that. It's just gonna get you some money, and over time if you continue doing it,then you might get somewhere.
Remember,Youtube takes time,a lot of time. Especially in the gaming.
Hope this helped and that my writing wasn't in vain.
    Take care bros!
Horror let's plays all around! :D

  • I think the individual network descriptions could use some work. Maybe ask partnered members about their experiences with specific networks, so that you can form a paragraph description for each network, which includes their strengths and weaknesses. At the moment 90% of the information you are giving is pretty obvious. Why should I try and partner with Yeousch over TGN?

If you imagine a forum member wanting to know that information and coming in to find that the "Explanation" inevitably explained nothing new then it never helped them in the first place.

As I said add individual descriptions to all the included networks and give a few positive and negative notes to help the lost in knowing which network they should try to join.
There is always time for muffins.
  • RPM - Gives you 60-30 cut. Dynamic CPM. Doesn't have specific views per day but I assume it's 750 views/day. Good partner support. 3 days reply is fast for me.

Maker Studios/TheGameStation - Has a confidential contract and really different from RPM and Socialblade. I assume it requires 25K subs and 15K views/day. It's probably 80-20 cut. You can get promoted from RPM if you're getting good and getting a lot of audience.

TGN - They've taken huge changes as of now. I still believe their contract is 80-20 with BBTV already cut TGN's income. Average partner support. There are some good support, but most of the time, they're just flat-out bad. Dynamic CPM. Has monetized views on mobile too(not sure though)

Actually...I was just accepted to TheGameStation, and I have 1700 subs, and about 30K views/month. My channel:
    youtube.com/techkinggame
They give you a 60/40 cut. Its a 1 year lock-in, and you can leave if you notify them within 30 days of the renewal date.
I have signed the contact, but it has not been processed yet. So socialblade may say I am still with TGN. Trust me, I am talking about TheGameStation:
    thegamestation.com
    Hope this helps:)
Maybe they just liked my channel :D
