    • An audio problem with Fraps

      +1

I have a few problems with my recording program, I need some information on either how to fix it or another program i can use instead of it.
The problem: Im using Fraps to record a video, but it wont register that my headset's mic is plugged in, therefore it uses the computer's built in mic which is really crappy quality audio. Can someone please recommend to me either a way to fix it or a new program that has good video quality, space use doesn't matter( I delete my videos after I put them on youtube), and isn't way too difficult to use. Thanks for any info :3

    • It won't give me any other options for a mic, Even though my computer recognizes the mic whenever I plug it in. It won't let me pic a different mic on fraps.
    • Thats what I was considering, I just didn't want to be using 3 programs at the same time, but a mans gotta do what a mans gotta do ^^ Thanks for the tips.
    • You can try to use dxtory, it's another recording program much more powerful than fraps, it might be confusing at first but it does everything. And it splits the tracks for example
      Track 1 - game sound
      Track 2 - Your mic

and whenever you put the video you recorded on sony vegas it will show the audio on 2 different tracks which is quite useful if you want to do some edits on the audio later on.
