Today has just arrived me this device (name in the title) to record video games at console as I supose you already know.
But I have the doubt that this device is pluged in the analogic socket of the PS3, then goes by component cords to the device, and then components out and to the TV components in. When I play this way, in components, 'cuz is not HDMI the console's resoluton automatically goes down to 520i or something like that. But theoretically this device can record in 1080i and with the last software update even at 1080p.
The doubt is: How can i set my PS3 resolution to HD (720p, 1080i or 1080p) in order to record in that quality while I'm connected at the component cord?
I hope i have explained well and if not, you can ask me and I'll try to explain better.
