Why render?

This might seem like a stupid question but why should i render in sony vegas? Like what does it really do? And i rendered my project in vegas and then when i went to upload it to youtube from vegas it rendered it again? Took me like 3 hours to finally get my video onto youtube. Can anyone help me out? Should i just click upload to youtube when im done whatever im doing? Because rendering it seems kinda stupid if i have to render it again when i try and upload it.

I think you're doing something wrong if you have to rerender everyting again before you uppload :s

This is the same thing that happens in Moviemaker. Instead of uploading directly from Sony Vegas, just render the video to desktop and then use the Youtube upload page, which is ten times faster than using some program and allows you to render another video at the same time...or play games. GAAAAAMMMMEEEZZZZZ!

Thanks a lot man! I will try that! I was thinking about doing that but i thought i'd ask the advice of you guys first ;P

Sorry bro but I went full retard reading your post. Don't be offended though. Did you upload using a browser? Cuz I don't know if Vegas can directly upload to YouTube.

^That and if you use camtasia you can also upload straight to youtube.
