Okay, so I'm thinking about partnering with TGN soon. But this isn't so much of a TGN as much as an overall partnership question. My question is i play a lot of video games, mainly the story mode on the hardest difficulty. I cut out most if not all the cutscenes in my latest videos. But on TGN they say even if you don't have a copyright strike or a content ID match marked on your channel status that doesn't mean you don't have anything copyright on your channel. It just means youtube hasn't found anything i believe upon uploading your video. I'm just worried that I'm gonna get a copyright strike on one of my previous videos if i try and monetize it. How can you truly know if you have any copyright content in your videos? As well as will i even be able to play games like call of duty? like the storymode? Or will i have to email treyarch or whatever and ask for permission? I'm just a little shaky on my knowledge when it comes to all this. Can anyone help?? It would be greatly appreciated.

As far as I can tell you are in the safe zone , but be sure to avoid games which have mainstream music content (for example GTA) as the audio tracks are copyrighted by the artist.

Thanks a lot Cirno, I'm getting sony vegas soon so i'll be able to add my voice and edit cutscenes and such a lot better. I'm just worried about cutscenes and having permission to play certain games, but as time goes on i seem to read more and more about music haha seems like as long as you stay away from copyright music you'll most likey be fine on youtube. Thanks for the feedback man!

  • No problem, just watch your steps and you should be fine.

Also as far as I know TGN is the only one partnering YouTubers without having commentaries to their videos. I got declined @ socialblade for not having commentaries on my videos , luckily I'm with a way better network right now. ;)

Are you serious? I've never heard anything like that before, how many views a day do you average?
I respect everyone until they prove to me otherwise

I had around 900-1200 views a day back then.
