What Mic is it?
What are you recording with? (Audio and Video)
What is your editing software?
What is your sound card?
I can't really help here, but if you want help from other people they usually need to know some of those things.
Good luck with getting it fixed. -
I bought a new one recently but for some reason it keeps making a buzzing sound, I have one of these if your wondering razerzone.com/gaming-audio/razer-carcharias-for-xbox-pc . I have tried with different mic's but still no success.I have managed to make it a little more quite. But i really want it gone because i am doing let's play's for my channel.

Sometimes the noise might be caused by the fact that your microphone's volume has been enhanced.
You should check it in the audio options. -
I learnt from master xebaz to never buy razer.
This was something he talked about, mic static.
You can get rid of it by using Audacity's noice reduction. -
Well i did the best i could, Thanks for everyone's help
. If anybody has a solution your more than welcome to share XD

Is your mic boosted? I mean you can boost from your PC right? Check your settings. Are there fans when you are talking? That might be cause of it.
Change the frequency of your mic too. -

This is what I was going to say.
If you use mic boost it will inevitably give you static in the background. I would know because I was so quiet I had to have it boosted. Luckily I'm a little... louder now and don't need it XD.
So just check your mic boost through audio settings, also if your mic has it's own separate mic boost outside of windows check that as well. -
My microphone buzz/makes static when I have it split between my PS3 and my PC. BUT only when I have my laptop plugged into AC power bahahaha.
No buzzing at all when working on battery power.
I'm guessing it's my sound card being a butthole. Maybe your soundcard is a butthead too.
..Technology makes too much sense -
Well, Sony Vegas has Noise Gates that are pretty easy to use, I bet that most editing progams have the same thing

If it's a usb mic try plugging it in the back of the computer, that worked for me!
If it's not usb then you'll have to noise cancel via audacity -
Signed up so I could help you with this
Audacity comes with an inbuilt noise removal function. Simply record a few seconds of the buzzing noise (without your voice), highlight it, go to "noise removal", click "get noise profile" (this tells Audacity what you want to remove).
From there, highlight your whole commentary, go back to the tool and click ok.
This comes from personal experience, due to myself having very loud fans I use this to make it sound that I'm practically in a studio.
Hope this works! -
