Photoshop Problem,Help Me! ;_;

Guys i want to make some cute black borders around my face cam and i try to make them in photoshop but i don't know how

I don't want just some simple borders maybe stilysh one or something but they can be straight and black but i think if i drop shadow and edit a bit i can make them look cute.

The problem is that i don't know how to make those borders around my face cam.if i create some normal borders and put them around they will have some white in it and it will cover my face

In this example i used simple black borders because i don't know how to make better ones

but check out the problem :

The white part is where your face should be?

Fill opacity 0%
Stroke @ the borders.

Do you have 2 Layers made out of your background and face cam?

If not You could probably try that

Putting your "Border" in between the layer of your facecam and your thumbnail background would do wonders.

But what do i know.

And yes, making the white part transparent would also work.

Change the opacity of the inside to 0%, that will make it transparent

Forget opacity. Change the Fill to 0%.

Oh... You are here trying to make the facecam frame right? Well I have a solution... USE SONY CHROMA KEY! Chroma key it white. I thought I said it. Then you will have it. Atleast I chroma key and it works juuust fine.

what do you mean by fill opacity to 0 ? i double click on layer with the image and fill opacity to 0 but still nothing,i am kinda newbie to photoshop

can you explain me more detailed ?

EDIT:i found the fill opacity i put it to 0 but the borders also go transparent but what do you mean by saying stroke @ the borders?

The main thing you need to do is to save it as an pgn by clicking ctrl+shift+alt+s or save for web in file tab and choose png 24 and enable transparancy otherwise no matter what you do it will be white in the middle at the end. do what the others told you but you must save it as png otherwise it get's white auto

As I said, instead of changing opacity, change the fill.

That way, your border will stay the same.

Sharky,even if i change the fill even if i change the opacity the border will disappear i tried it

If your border is entirely based on dynamic blending modes, it won't disappear.

have you taken away the base layer that almost always is white?
