I played Touhou for a long long time and I mean long this whole game series started the year I was born and I started when I was 5
My favorite character's are Cirno Remilia Reimu Sakuya Flandre Momiji Yukari Marisa Alice and Suika. I love this game so much my people criticize me because I'm a boy. I'll never understand why people should criticize someone who plays Touhou because it is full of heroines. I mean... this is TOTALLY the game for men. Everything is filled with girls. Who wouldn't want that? People who criticize this are just jealous.
Anyway, my absolute favourite is Suika Ibuki because she likes to drink and party and stuff. I'd really like to drink with her every now and then. I also really like Cirno because she is the strongest (obviously).

anyway , yes , I was criticized for loving Touhou and vocaloids as people weirdly associate drawn characters immediatly to hentai and such. I had taken the opportunity to make a project about vocaloids for the english class to show that there was high tech behind the shizzle and damn , most were baffled like hell as they thought fe. Hatsune Miku was an alter ego of an artist or something and such. I showed them the technical aspect of it and they kept questioning about it. Fun part was that some musicians were like da faq when they heard yamaha and such.
I plan to do a Touhou one for my gamedev one , although I think it will be easier to explain as the school is full with artistic people with 'odd' things they like xD

Same here, I was critized for loving Touhou, because they think that I'm starting to like ecchi / hentai anime (my friends think that Touhou is an ANIME), and think that I am become more..feminime..because I have a lot of Touhou images. I said that it's from a game. A bullet hell game..like Space Invaders, 1942, Sine Mora, Sky Force, but..with a lot of girls..and bullet, and much much harder. And, they just like "Seriously?".
Luckily, they don't critize for liking Vocaloid, because many of them like their songs too. -

I never was criticized in any way for loving Touhou. I merely was supported for liking something others didn't like and standing up to it. Some people even listened to me when I tried to explain what it is about and understood. Maybe I'm just in luck. On the other hand though, I know how hard it is to explain something uncommon you like to someone who isn't familiar with uncommon things.
