Yup. I thought he was my very first best friend (happened in high school). I ended having a huge crush on him (my first crush), but around the end of the last high school year, he suddenly stopped talking to me without any valuable reasons and I didn't hear much from him.

I then heard why he did so, and it completely destroyed me.

Yeah it happened to me before. And he's come crawling back. He left again. I agreed to be friends again - then he stopped again. At this point, I gave up completely on him. I deserve better.

I have dealt with this only once before and, though it is a rough situation, all you can do is move ahead. Kind of strange how irrational and unpredictable people can be towards one another.

Actually yes. One summer years ago this girl (who had not before showed any interest) all sudden asked if I wanna hang out... it was the start of that summer. I've never been good at socializing so it was like a miracle to me. But yeah, I spent the entire summer with her... I'm trying to remember some details... but I guess I've simply forgot it all for my own good. Why? Because when the summer was ending I went outside when I saw her from the window like usually... I hadn't notice but this other girl was there too. Apparently she had been spending her summer in another country and now that she was back... well, my "friend" didn't all sudden want to hang with me anymore because her own best friend was back. And she was VERY blunt and cold about it. I guess it doesn't sound so bad to some people... I mean I did get to hang the whole summer with her? Yeah but what the **** was I... a trash you can throw away? Exactly.

It really really really hurt and it still hurts after so many years. I actually haven't trust people quite the same after that. I really believe it also damaged my ability to make and keep friends (in real life) because I always wonder if they're serious and I always get super cautious if there's other people involved. I really don't know where she ended up in her life but I really hope karma got/get her at some point.

Someone who I thought was my best friend ditched me to be with people who were more popular than me. She started caring a lot more about her appearance and figure [even though she was already really pretty and slim] then suddenly lost a lot of weight, and now looks like a skeleton and I'm worried about her. We're still friends, though.

It sucks when my friend and I met through facebook, we lived in the same state. We both know a lot about each other's school because I sometimes go there for football matches. Hung out a few times, chat and MSN each other. Our friends thought we looked alike so we called ourselves "Twincy" but now she's hanging out with people that gets a tonne of compliments and shit like that.

I used to be really best friends with this person, he was a new student in school, after a Spring Holiday he rarely talks to me, even in facebook.
I'm guessing he became friends with the more popular kids in school.
Eventually, I moved on.
