Well it was really fun to be in the same TS room as pewdiepie and actually talk to him with him replying and so , too bad i couldn't play with Pewdiepie though. like some other persons on the TS. I won't say im disappointed , but the event could be arranged better.

one of these things i was bothered with was that we didn't had any servers with passwords on it or an admin who checks all the names and such (although mKeRIx checked names , he didn't had admin priviledges on those specific servers). people who were watching the livestream joined the killing floor server because they saw the IP in the screen , spoiling the chances for the persons who won a ticket for the event to play and couldn't play with Pewdiepie because of this.

It could be way more organized , and i hope it will be next time for the next batch of lucky bro's. I don't say mKeRix (and the other admins) did a bad job, nonononononononononononno , they did a fantastic job by giving bro's the chance to communicate with Pewdiepie. it only was a little bit frantic which made it "unpleasent" for some bro's though .

I propose that i or an other person would rent server(s) which can be locked down so everyone can have a chance next time and make it even a more fun experience.
(and yes i know where i can get those servers :3)

Oh well , i would say better luck next time, and i hope i actually can play next time (probs not next event ) actually with pewdiepie with a game i own on steam.

Good feedback flamex, this is something they can do something with.

Thanks for this post FlameX. We're sorry it ended up quite chaotic, but it's quite hard to organize with so little time. Also, I couldn't finance all the servers - they cost me way too much.
We'll do a discussion internally about what to improve next time though.

i know how you are feeling , i ran several commuities with minor events and they went a little bit apeshit aswell in my opinion. just call me next time when you are scheduling a community event on steam games , since i will try to get servers for them then. I know some server hosters who are good friends of mine and will most likely host a server for you to host your event on there.

I know that you can't finance the servers , due to the fact that a standalone server for a month can cost around $30 already (and that is then for 1 day for doing the event) or you need to rent a dedi box which can cost around $100 a month if you want to have a good one.

but seriously , just contact me waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay before you and pewdiepie are going to host an other event again , since i will really try to make it work out so everything will go more smoothly and that the chances of the people who won will not be spoiled. some people even left the TS because they were mad , but atleast i saw the bright side of it , Pewdiepie kept communicating with everyone in the chatroom with quoting funny things and such and not being focussed on the livestream and on being funny (wether he likes it or not , it always ends up funny though.)

But i would like to thank you again for this event , although it didn't worked out as it used to be. i'm grateful for that and i have added another positive experience to my life. :D

      //offtopic
Ps. after i quited on trying with my frantic attempts to join Pewdiepie's server where he was playing , i started on my HL2 project which will be meant for pewdiepie , i actually don't care if he plays it or not. atleast some bro's on the forum will give me feedback about it and like it or not.

It's kind of hard to do, since we've tried to plan this event for a long time and get in contact to Pewdie, but he has been away or busy everytime we tried to ask so it ended up us having to plan everything in 3 days (When I say "we" I mean mostly M.) and that included getting a list of all the applicants, drawing some lucky people and fixing the teamspeak server.

well it will be easier when my community is up and running , since i will have full access to a dedibox and me and my friend will set it up for the games scheduled for the event. and actually my friend actually doesn't give a damn about pewdiepie (how could he ) so he will not even bother to join the server (maybe he will , but only to check how its working out.).

And i know it is a hard job scheduling an event and i really appreciated that and i hope other bro's too, even the bro's who didn't got picked

    • Im going to be the mister negative here,
I felt like the Community event idea was quite good, but oh god, the spam... I thought the stream chat should've been alot more moderated but you can't have everybody moderating the chat. And almost everybody tried to join the server, overloading them. And i thought the moderators was "the V.I.P group" and they got the play with him on every server, limiting the people by 5-8 people at the same time.

But overall it was quite good, quality wise, with PewDie's gameplay and "commentary".

    • Well... I'm just sad that I didn't even get to talk or play with him (everyone was talking all the time, and it's hard to talk to someone ingame when you're not in the same game). Split up teams next time. AND play the games that was promised... Rotate on people etc... Some had Left 4 Dead, some had Killing FLoor. There we got 2 teams already. You see what I mean? And you had 1 whole day to set up things, didn't you? And it doesn't take long time to look thorugh who had which games. Eventually if someone have both, ask them what they prefer to play. I'm not the only one going from this event with "a broken heart". You should had better control of the whole situation. I saw this event as one big mess.

      Thanks for the feedback.
We will try to get something to those people who couldn't be able to do something with Pewdie, to compensate those.

Please give us some time though, we have a lot of things to do - for me organizing all this is more of a free time project, and I spent a lot of money in this.
