    • What do YOU look for in a Youtuber?

I've often thought about this subject and I'd love to see what people have to say about it.

I'd assume that we are all here due to being fans of the PewDiePie.

So what is it about him, and his videos, that keeps you engaged? And also, the question I'm a bit more interested in, What do you look for when judging whether or not to subscribe to another Youtuber. Do you compare those other youtubers to PewDiePie? Or do you take what they are offering on their channel as it's own experience?

I guess the reason I think about this is because when I watch a PewDiePie video, he is just another gamer having fun, but he does it in such a way that makes it fun to watch. But then I watch another youtuber, and they just don't seem to have "it" that keeps me interested in a way to keep my A.D.D satisfied whatever "it" may be. What is it that you think those other youtubers lack?

What do you guys think this "it" that I'm referring to is. What makes him the great entertainer that he is? I'd suppose the varies per person. Which is why I would like to see all of your opinions! :)

I realize there is quite a few questions within that blurb. So I guess the TL,DR is What do you look for in Youtuber, and what turns you away from other youtubers
    • For me the main difference is that Pewbs shows his face while acting kinda goofy.

Think about the faceless and the sub-millionares like Toby, Pewbs, Seananners, etc,
you know who they are plus they vlog about other things so I guess they stand out
apart from Robbaz, Sp00n, and others.

I'm not sure Pieking started facecamming (probably not) but now I notice a lot of
      tubers doing it too.

(I'm kinda tired, I don't know wtf I'm typing about.)

    • Most of em, is probably the way they makes me laugh. Or atleast put a tiny itty bitty smile to a grumy faces, just like mine. But i also love to watch some of the "Talented" ones. Like Miracleofsound, Malukahfenix, Freddiew, Etc. But for the luls and LP it's probably Pewds, Cry, Gamegrumps, Br00tal (Cos reasons), 4pp, And Proxy (Cos Reasons).

If you're angry, don't break anybody's heart, they only have one..... Break their bones, they have 206 of them
    • For me, it's how the person interacts with his audience and how good he/she is at doing what they're doing. Cry/Pewds, for example, they're arguably good at playing games and entertaining their viewers. And Kipkay, the tech guy, he's good at hacking stuff and doing tech shit while having fun.

It's the person and how good at he's at doing what he's good at.
    • I'm looking for a self-centered asshole who totally preaches on how good he is while other YouTubers aren't and will not help those who need help for growing and such. and how much he earns every month while other YouTubers are not and totally is with Machinima to only boast with the fact that the person is with machinima while everyone knows that Machinima is utter shit currently.

/Sarcasm , except for the machinima part (of being utter shit)

    • I look for somebody who can keep my attention through the video, and entertain me enough not to just go and watch something else. It doesn't necessarily have to make me laugh, as it could be an emotional video such as The Walking Dead series, or To The Moon. Basically I judge a YouTuber based on their content, as well as they way that they keep me entertained, and as long as they don't try to "be" another YouTuber, then I'll probably stay tuned :)

    • Mostly how they act.

Pewdie, for example, said he has no problem being himself in front of a camera. You can see that. He's constantly laughing, and having fun. He acts like he's with his close friends in front of a camera, or even just recording.

It's that kind of thing that gives off a positive vibe and makes me want to watch more.

Uniqueness is also a big factor for me.
    • My friends and I realised the other day, that we watch Youtubers who have a similar play style to us...

I watch Pewdie because I enjoy the way he interacts with inanimate objects, which is something I do almost constantly in games. I get distracted too easily by little things- I still haven't got anywhere near a dragon in Skyrim...
Another of my friends loves Cry, as she will go and try to explore all areas of the game.
Jen loves Rage Quits as she will happily scream at a game for hours, should it do her wrong.
We all love Achievement Hunter- because when we co-op we end up pretty much murdering each other in-game by the end.

I guess it's because we see those Youtubers having fun, doing pretty much the same thing as us.
So some primitive part of our brain is going "You, me have fun the same way. You, me likey"
      I don't do much, but I occasionally tumbl .
