  • How do you get sponsored

with video games when almost all video games are copyrighted?

like i mean how did pewdiepie get sponsored and all for video games without getting a copyright strike or anything? i'm just asking because i wanna get sponsored one day if i become good enough but i don't know how that works with video games when it comes to copyright, youtube states you can't use video game material and all this. so how do i get a sponsorship for video games like machinima or TGN if youtube makes it seem like you can't post anything with video game content? i just wanna know how all this works. if pewdie can help me or anyone else with this it would be much appreciated.

  • I'm pretty sure you can upload yourself playing games, as long as you write down for example in the describtion that the game isnt yours and then who's game it is.
I mean, thousands, maybe millions of people post videos of themselves gaming on youtube and i haven't heard much about copyright claims on them.

It's different with songs tho xD

My latest video with vikingbread :D

  • Ramon is wrong. If you want to get partnered with youtube directly ,with a gaming channel, you won't. You'll need to get a partnership from a "company" which supports let's plays, gaming channels."I think the best one is TGN , social blade and then comes machinima which completely fucks everyone"- By >_> aka Flamez3 :3 . Since they bought the rights for a lot of things, even few musics, so that your channel will be able to earn money but only through them. And getting partnered for TGN and Machinima is not that easy. You need to get min. 1000 views daily, min. 15 video, their quality needs to be good. And only then, will they consider your channel. There's no guarantee they will accept it. But you should get partnered only when you have a trusty audience. Oh and most importantly: You need to have all the rights for the softwares. Meaning you need to buy them.

Thanks a lot man, i've done my homework on what i need to even be considered to be partnered for gaming. It just seems confusing on how people can even get to that point of partnership when youtube makes it seem like you won't even be able to get out of the gate if you upload anything that isn't yours. thanks for the feedback though. :)

  • As a trial scout for tgn my choice would be obvious.

Why tgn over socialblade? Since tgn allows gameplqy without commentary while socialblade/rpm requires you to delete the videos without commentary.

Why tgn over machinima?Machinima gives channels a fixed low cpm with a 3 year contract while tgn has a dynamic cpm which builds up with your channel and the duration with you being with tgn. Initially this cpm tgn offers is lower then the rest , but will greatly build up with the reasons stated before.also you can leave tgn any time wih 30 days notice.

TGN should finish the dashboard first. Some people have a lot of complaints because of TGN's custom ID. It's the user's fault, but they are your responsibility, so the blame will be on the company.

partnersupport is using a ticket system now.
I heard from higher ups that the dashboard comes begin 2013. No date has been set. It was george's fault for announcing it while it wasn't finished.

Cpm is how much money you get for every 1000 views and no the requirements for tgn is not that hih if you know the correct people. Recruiters are allowed to partner lower then the amount stated , but only if the youtuber is active and makes hq content.
