Gaming Computer New Configuration

Hi everyone. As the title says, I'm looking forward to buy a new computer, since I realized that the pc gaming is exactly the casual lite gaming that I appreciate and usually play. My actual computer is really old, we're talking about a LGA775 processor and a P5KPL-AM Asus Motherboard, no video card.

I've got everything else, HDD Power etc, I just really need some information about which Motherboard, processor and graphic card I should buy. My budget is somewhat limited around 400 €, but I can wait and bring more money. I'd like to have a computer which can be upgraded eventually and can play smoothly some new games, like Skyrim. If you don't want to shop for me, and that's obviously fine, if you could just link me some sites where I can find the informations I need it would be great. I live in Italy but obviously I can have my components shipped so I *GUESS* that's not going to be a problem

+i3 cpus have hyperthreads make them run like quad cores.
+520w Modular PSU. Cables can easily be hidden behind.
+I'm using the case, it's pretty good.
+ Cheap but great mobo.
+Awesome mid-tier GPU. Can run most game on med-highest.

Are the PSU and the HDD a really good improvement or they just give a minor boost to the performances? Because the configuration is really good, but it's really over my budget as by now

How huge is the capacity of your HDD? And based on your PC, it's also old. LGA775 is Pentium right? So it's still on IDE or SATA. Which makes your PC a bit slower than it should be.

About the PSU, it doesn't make a difference in performance. but it does make a difference on HOW LONG YOUR PC WILL RUN. How long it will be stable. The PSU is the power of your PC, if it fails, it may damage your components. So it really needs to be good.

Ok, you're absolutely really helpful, thank you very much! Just two little things. Thanks to the fact that I live in Europe the change enables me to spend 600$ (Which are almost 450 euros). Therefore I can afford your configuration with the I5 cpu BUT! saw that while the GPU and the I5 are good product, the motherboard is quite cheap... is it normal? I have some free space for a better one, so feel free to suggest!

Also, on an unrelated note... is the site good for international shipping? A friend of mine has been tricked twice, I'd like to avoid his unfortunate fate...

Edit: I just noticed that the site does NOT ship internationally.. Some other good sites?

I'm not sure about site that ships internationally. But Newegg is one of the best in US. Sadly, they don't ship worldwide. Don't you have a local store in Europe? I have little knowledge about that place. And it's better to buy it there for warranty purposes.

And for the motherboard, yes, it's really cheap. It's a great one though. It's a motherboard that cannot overclock CPU. But since you're not using an unlocked CPU, it will be fine.

Thank you very very much. The real problem is that while on that site the computer would cost around 450 €, if I buy it here it would cost me 200€ more, I don't really know why, and that's the real problem, because the price goes very high up. However, the configuration is really good and I'd probably use that one, Thank you very very much for your help

No worries bro. Just keep searching and you might see a shop which gives less tax/shipping tax on their products.
