    • My collection of great game dev tools!

Hey everyone! I am a huge game/app developer and also modder to a lot of games. I started game dev back when I was around 12 and have found a lot of tricks that some people don't see right away. I have found grade A programs that create first person shooters with no code, or even found softwares that allow you to program in BASIC and distribute to just about any mobile platform. Here is a list of the softwares I have used:

      1. AGK: app game kit:
This software allows you to program in BASIC or native and is compatible with iphone, blackberry, android, HTML5, pc, mac and soon to be windows phone.

      2. fps creator
fps creator is a software that allows you place your characters, sencery, lights, and everything else without any form of coding. There is an option to alter with the scripting language, but it is not needed.

      3. L3DT
L3DT is a terrain creator that makes everything for the terrain... it can make the texture, heightmap, normal map, light map, specular map, shadow map, water map and more. My favorite feature is that it can make terrain the size of skyrim and have a huge quality to it too. This terrain software also exports in 3D objects

      4. plant life:
just sit back and let this software create every form of plant/rock/shrub/lily/ anything (except trees... theres another software for that).

There also some more main stream softwares like udk, unity, cryengine, etc.

hope this helped any people who are starting out with game dev *brofist*! :)
