Be more specific. What "Things" do you need?

Recording PC game footage? Bandicam
Facecam recording? You can technically use movie maker just make sure you edit the two videos together and sync them.
Editing? I personally use Sony Vegas Pro 10

Fraps and or CamStudio. They record LP's great

Oh yeah , buy all the stuff.

To record your screen, you need : Fraps ... Bandicam

To record your voice, you'll need : Audacity .. Reaper

To record your face, you'll need : Debut Video Capture Software ... WebCam Companion

To edit, merge all together, use : Sony Vegas Pro ... Movie Maker

Just choose either of them and use them. I use Fraps, Audacity, and Sony Vegas Pro. [I don't have webcam so I don't record my face]

PC Recorder:
Fraps = needs a good gpu and cpu and 4GB atleast. Lossless quality. $30-$39 (Haven't checked)
Bandicam = needs a good gpu and 4GB at least. Lossless to 10% loss of quality. $39
Camtasia: needs a good cpu at least 2GB. A Screen recorder, doesn't record fullscreen games. Lossless to 10% loss of quality. Don't know the price.

I personally use playclaw. it only records mjpeg but you just need to render it. no lag or fps drops.
I use it for all my videos.
if my sound is low it's because my microphone stopped working.

Sony Vegas is a lot better than Movie maker. It's also good for beginner!

It's your own preference bro. I'm using Bandicam cause it fits me.
