  • hooooh boooii music is my fuel to life, i can't function without music :D but really i listen to almost anything!!

    as of right now im mostly listening to

    Disturbed (but mostly their older stuff)
    Eminem (again his older stuff is what im a most fan of)
    Gramatik (really just relaxing music to listen too)
    J-pop (not much of it and most of it is just anime opening themes)
    Game soundtrack (mostly kingdom hearts because im just too hyped for DDD)
    dubstep(i dont really enjoy most of skrillex's stuff but more like Doctor P, Cookie monsta and some other which ive forgotten what is called)

    also to get back on track my favourite "music"/track is probably "my darling" by eminem

    I like a bit of everything, most of what I look for is lyrics that speak to the soul, something that evokes emotion. I love dramatic orchestral music, revivalist celtic songs, rock, metal, anything Celldweller does, techno, alternative, just not really any rap. I need lyrics that mean something, and most rap songs I hear are pretty shallow.
    I'm also fond of the soundtracks to games. I think because the interesting thing about music in games is rather than trying to send a message or just sell a lot of copies, they are made for the sole purpose of building emotion in a certain way. Like Vortal Combat from Half Life 2: Episode 2 was splendid in adding to the epic struggle against the hordes of ant lions, the Chainsawer song from Cry of Fear or the Backroom song from Amnesia were both great in easing tension after a particularly tense scene, and so on.

  • Metal and rock stuff. Favourite bands at the moment "The Unguided" and "Sienna Skies".
    I like some techno and dubstep tracks... but I don't like the genre in general. Too much of wubwubwub and david guetta bullshit being mainstream right now.
    I also like all kinds of songs from the 80s and 90s, my most favourite song of that time is Informer by Snow. :)
