My favorites are Red hot chili peppers, they are huge huge musicians, they are not just some guys who makes sounds, they are commited artists and what they do is simply magic, musical awesomness resides in them, I also love John Frusciante´s solo work(he was one of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and, in my opinion the best one of them) he´s my favorite musician ever.
I also love Nirvana and NoFx.

There are some I don't listen so much anymore (like Sonata Arctica or MIKA) but I approve that list. I'd also add Karl Jenkins and Paleface. I listen pretty much everything that sound good to my ear and makes me feel something, but my fav genres are (at least right now) classical, japanese rock, many different kinds of metal and soundtracks (well that's not a genre, but I love many kinds of instrumental soundtracks. Games, movies, anime etc.)
